Acalypha pendula or Dwarf Chenille Plant is a small growing version of the old Chenille Plant with many interesting a versatile uses, and is also commonly known as The Caterpillar Flower, Strawberry Firetails, Red Hot Cats Tail or Kittens Tail.

It bears long lasting, tufted, fuzzy finger sized and shaped bright red flowers that resemble caterpillars, and are showy, unusual and present from mid spring to late fall in the tropics.

This plants small stature, low, growing, draping habit, prolific and showy bloom make it a great choice for ground cover in non traffic areas. It's spreading and cascading habit make it well suited for hanging baskets, urn shaped garden pots, rock gardens or raised beds or walls.
